Job summary

Cemen Tech Inc. in Indianola, IA is seeking a hands-on technician to service, repair, and prep volumetric mixers and silos for rental and resale. You’ll work on truck-mounted mixers built on Freightliner chassis, using Cummins diesel power, handling mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Minimum qualifications include 2+ years in heavy equipment or fleet tech, knowledge of hydraulics and diagnostics, and a valid license (CDL a plus). CDL may be preferred with willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on volumetric concrete mixers, including cement bins, water systems, admixture injection systems, conveyors, and swivel chutes.
  • Prep incoming used/rental units for sale or rental like cleaning, testing, calibrating, and addressing wear items.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, mechanical/electronic drive systems, and control panels.
  • Complete pre- and post-rental inspections, documenting equipment condition and needed repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and labor hours in the shop management system.
  • Coordinate with the Rental and Used Equipment Sales Manager on turnaround timing and inventory readiness.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically skilled technician to service, repair, and prep our fleet of Cemen Tech volumetric mixers and silos for rental and resale. You'll work on truck-mounted mixers (like the C60/M60 series) built on commercial chassis such as Freightliner, powered by diesel engines like the Cummins L9, along with the mixer's mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems. This role keeps our used and rental inventory job ready and our customers running.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as heavy equipment, or fleet technician (concrete/construction equipment experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, and commercial truck chassis
  • Comfort with electrical/electronic diagnostics and basic control systems
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage time across multiple units
  • Physical ability to perform shop and field repair work, including lifting, climbing, and working in varied weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with volumetric mixers or ready-mix/concrete equipment
  • Experience with fleet management or shop software
