PURPOSE OF POSITION
The position is a working Team Lead role that calls for the person to perform direct labor work in addition to performing the Team Lead duties noted below. Team Lead duties include the need to assign work to staff and the trouble-shooting of issues that may arise to attain the daily production goals of the line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the person will:
- Proactively recognize and coach to safety issues including regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate the quality of work performed by the team.
- Ensure non-conforming material is handled according to procedures.
- Coordinate daily production goals with Team Leads and Operations Staff.
- Lead a daily 5-minute start up meeting to review daily goals for the day, work assignments, safety briefings and other items, as required.
- Be the go to leader for the team to resolve parts and engineering questions.
- Ensure documentation is adhered to and maintained properly including drawings, work orders, productivity logs, etc.
- Provide input to team member’s performance evaluations.
- Position hours are 15 minutes prior to shift start time to the end of the shift or special hours as needed or as assigned.
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- 2 years of related experience.
- Must be knowledgeable of the work performed in the area and the safe and proper use of the tools and equipment used in the area.
- Must have computer experience including the use of tablets and Microsoft Office products.
EQUIPMENT
- Overhead crane and hoist.
- Forklift including stand up and standard, pallet jack, truck cart.
- Power tools such as drill, jig saw, hydraulic hose crimper, hole saw, pneumatic impact guns and ratchets, mag-drill.
- Hand tools such as torque wrench, standard hand tools, tape measure.
