Job summary

Peltier Subaru in Tyler, Texas seeks a dependable Used Car Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare pre-owned vehicles so they are safe and reliable for customers.

You will perform inspections, oil changes, brake work, and routine maintenance, document findings, and communicate repair needs to management. This full-time position offers benefits, vacation, and opportunities for growth within a team‑oriented dealership.

Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections on pre-owned vehicles.

Used Car Technician – Peltier Subaru

Peltier Subaru is looking for a dependable and experienced Used Car Technicianto join our team! This position plays an important role in making sure our pre‑owned vehicles are inspected, serviced, repaired, and ready to provide our customers with a safe and reliable driving experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections on pre‑owned vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety‑related concerns.
• Complete necessary repairs and maintenance to prepare vehicles for the lot.
• Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, fluid services, battery replacements, and other general automotive repairs.
• Identify additional repairs or maintenance needed during inspections.
• Work efficiently to help maintain a quick turnaround time on used vehicle inventory.
• Document inspections, repairs, and recommended work accurately.
• Communicate with management regarding vehicle condition and repair needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
• Help ensure every pre‑owned vehicle meets Peltier Subaru’s standards before being offered to customers.
