Job summary

Tustin KIA is seeking a Used Car Technician in Tustin, CA. This is a full-time role with a competitive hourly/flat-rate structure, plus production bonus options based on experience and team performance.

You'll inspect used vehicles, diagnose issues, perform repairs across brakes, engines, suspensions, and drivetrains, and complete routine maintenance. A California driver’s license with a clean record is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive repair experience across multiple brands.
• Own a set of standard professional technician tools.
• Valid California driver's license with clean DMV record.
• Experience with varied domestic, Asian, European vehicles.
• ASE certifications or factory training are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point inspections on used cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct high-quality repairs on brakes, suspensions, engines, and drivetrains.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid flushes, rotations, and tune-ups.
• Ensure pre-owned vehicles meet safety and quality standards before retail.

Job Details

• Pay Structure: $33.80-$36.00 Competitive hourly/flat-rate structure plus production bonus options (commensurate with experience).
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts.
• Location: 28 B Auto Center Drive, Tustin, CA 92782

What You Will Do

• Multi-Point Inspections: Thoroughly inspect incoming used cars, trucks, and SUVs of all makes and models.
• Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and pinpoint mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
• Full-Scale Repairs: Perform high-quality repairs on brakes, suspensions, steering alignment, engines, and drivetrains.
• Routine Maintenance: Complete oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and general tune-ups.
• Safety Certification: Ensure every pre-owned vehicle meets safety and quality standards before moving to the retail lot.

What We Need From You

• Experience: 5+ years of automotive repair experience across multiple vehicle brands.
• Tools: Your own set of standard professional technician tools.
• License: A valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.
• Knowledge: Demonstrated ability working on varied domestic, Asian, and European vehicle architectures.
• Certifications: ASE certifications or factory training are highly preferred but not required.
