Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a Used Car Service Technician for Napleton Hyundai of Carmel in Indiana. You will perform vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards, while ensuring quality and efficiency across a fast-paced service department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 5+ years of experience as a Pre-Owned Vehicles Technician preferred.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Advise service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required.
• Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to always account for all dealership-owned tools.
• Follow safety rules and regulations as endorsed by management.
