Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group's Napleton KIA of Carmel is seeking an Automotive Service Technician with Hyundai or KIA certification to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer standards. You will work closely with Parts and Service Advisors to keep production moving, explain repairs to customers, and participate in ongoing factory training and certifications.

A valid driver's license and ASE certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• KIA or Hyundai Certification is highly desirable.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
