Rohrman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Used Car Service Technician to join our Lafayette, IN team. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems, perform scheduled maintenance, and document time spent on repair orders.

The role emphasizes staying current with evolving technology through ongoing training and mentoring apprentices. We value safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven diagnostic skills with ability to repair vehicle systems accurately.
• Ability to mentor and support apprentices as needed.
• Strong communication with service advisors regarding vehicle status and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete repair orders thoroughly and legibly, documenting parts used and time spent.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle status, additional needed repairs, and completion timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and in-house training to stay current with evolving technology.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians as needed.
