Sun State Ford is seeking a Used Car Service Technician to certify and complete used vehicle inspections. You’ll perform oil changes, check fluids, inspect belts and filters, and verify that A/C, shifting, 4x4, radio, windows and other factory options operate correctly.
This role offers Ford dealer experience, with Ford Certification or ASE certifications preferred, and a minimum of 1 year in a service department. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and employee discounts.
This role will mainly be focused on completing and certifying used cars and trucks. Typically, a Used Car Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges. Also, do a complete inspection and make sure everything is operating and function as it should. A/C,shifting,4x4 engagement and disengagement,radio,usb ports,windows,headlights,turn signals,tail lights,power seats,moon roof,and every other factory options.

Used Car Service Technician Responsibilities:
Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
Used Car Service Technician Requirements:
Ford Certification is a plus
Previous experience at a dealership is a plus
Ability to identify the problem quickly
Knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
High school diploma or GED
Technical degree preferred
ASE certifications preferred
Minimum of 1 year in service department
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude
