Job summary

Kunes Auto Group in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a used car Automotive Technician to join our fast-growing team. Perform inspections, diagnose issues, repair or replace components, and conduct routine maintenance to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

We offer a competitive flat-rate pay of $25.00–$40.00 per hour based on experience, paid training, ASE certification reimbursement, a full benefits package, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Service Tech
• ASE or OEM certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license and own tools

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and used vehicles to identify mechanical or electrical issues
• Run diagnostic tests to determine root causes
• Repair or replace parts such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses and suspension components
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations
• Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to high standards and on time
• Communicate findings and recommendations to the service manager

What You’ll Do:

• Perform thorough inspections of new/used vehicles and identify any mechanical or electrical issues
• Conduct diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of any issues
• Repair or replace parts as necessary, such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and suspension systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Communicate with the service manager and provide recommendations for any repairs or maintenance work that may be needed

Requirements

You're Our Ideal Candidate If You Have:

• 1+ plus years of experience as a Service Tech required
• ASE or OEM certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license and a passion for all things automotive
• Your own tools
