Coughlin Kia of Dublin is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians to recondition vehicles for our growing pre-owned inventory. You will diagnose, repair, and test automotive systems, with flat-rate earning potential and a schedule that typically runs about 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing and testing automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension and brakes.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair automotive systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Due to high volume, we have an immediate need for experienced Used Car Service Technicians. We need your skills today to better serve our growing used car reconditioning operation. ABOUT COUGHLIN AUTOMOTIVE

One of the fastest-growing dealerships in Central Ohio with over 1,000 vehicles in stock, we have locations spread across Newark, Pataskala, Circleville, Heath, Chillicothe, Lancaster, Lewis Center, Dublin and Marysville as well as seventeen service centers and four collisions centers. We carry thirteen brands including Buick, Chrysler, GMC, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Cadillac, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, and Kia, and our service, body, and parts departments are unmatched in the industry.

The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, but there is no cap on hours turned for flat rate techs. Service departments are closed on Sundays and only open until 6 pm during the week.

QUALIFICATIONS TO DRIVE YOUR CAREER FORWARD

• Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

QUALIFICATIONS TO DRIVE YOUR CAREER FORWARD

• Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred
• ASE certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily
• High school graduate/GED
• Satisfactory employment references

Salary: $24 - $35 per hour
