Job summary

Coughlin Kia of Dublin is seeking an Used Car Reconditioning Technician/Mechanic to perform specified repairs on vehicles, test components, and diagnose systems. You will work closely with the Service Department to keep customers informed and ensure repairs meet factory standards.

Qualifications

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and estimate time for repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

ABOUT COUGHLIN AUTOMOTIVE

The work schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, but there is no cap on hours turned for flat rate techs. Service departments are closed on Sundays and only open until 6 pm during the week.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred
• ASE certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily
• High school graduate/GED
