The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

• Supporting the Project Manager in identifying the most cost-effective technical solutions and driving estimate, schedule, and change management processes.
• Leading and coordinating all technical project work, including front-end engineering and design activities, to ensure robust, safe solutions.
• Defining Basis of Design (BOD) and Engineering package deliverables.
• Specifying major equipment and overseeing the development of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and start-up/commissioning plans.
• Maintaining effective communication and alignment with the project team and project owners throughout project execution.
• Driving compliance by understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet EHS standards.

Your Skills and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).
• Seven (7) years of capital project management experience and involvement in developing technical design and construction packages in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional Qualifications

• Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical engineering degree.
• Track record of successful project execution in a stage gate capital deployment model.
• Prior experience with webline, converting, automation, and/or discrete part handling equipment.

Work Location

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel

May include up to 25% domestic travel.

Relocation

May be authorized.
