What you'll do...
- Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, and maintaining in-stock levels and inventory management.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting sales, and assess economic trends and community needs.
- Model, enforce, and provide guidance to Associates on proper Customer/Member service techniques to ensure needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company standards.
- Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good community members.
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing safety and asset protection controls, and monitoring performance.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance, and guide the execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise and develop Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing contributions, fostering a workplace of belonging.
- Provide optical services including consulting, educating Members/Customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, and minor repairs.
- Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by engaging with Associates, addressing concerns, and reviewing policies.
- Coordinate and oversee activities supporting customer and business needs, building relationships, and promoting accountability and continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with policies, support the company's mission and values, and promote a culture of integrity and ethics.
- Build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, and create an inclusive environment where all associates can thrive.
- Act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and transparency, and support Walmart's sustainability and community initiatives.
- Deliver results focused on customer satisfaction, making decisions based on data insights, and balancing priorities for short-term and long-term success.
- Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support change management.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year in optical.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising associates.
