Job description

Position Summary...

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining in-stock inventory levels. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Models, enforces, and provides guidance to Associates on customer service techniques to ensure customer needs and issues are resolved within company standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as good community members. Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and developing performance improvement plans. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members and customers, selecting products based on their needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds the company's open-door policy by engaging with associates to address concerns and review policies. Coordinates and oversees activities by developing relationships with stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs. Builds high-performing teams that embrace diversity, foster a culture of belonging, and promote continuous learning. Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart's values, and making a positive impact on the community. Focuses on delivering results by prioritizing customer needs, making data-driven decisions, and encouraging innovation and resilience. Offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, including health, financial, and paid time off benefits. The hourly wage range is $33.50-$43.50, with additional bonuses and location-based pay zones.

Minimum Qualifications...

Completion of 2+ years of college OR 1 year retail and supervisory experience OR 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.

Preferred Qualifications...

Supervising associates.
