Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, delivering more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to meet the club's and members' expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and increase associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology and systems for immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, product information, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory. Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored according to policies. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, developing and inspiring others, and fostering a respectful, supportive, team-oriented environment. Support training and development of team members.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart's culture, and be accountable. Act selflessly, humbly, honestly, and transparently.
- Serve our Customers and Members: Prioritize customer satisfaction, make informed decisions, and consider the impact of work on team goals.

The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $26.00, with potential premiums based on schedule, facility, or work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Must complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed timeframe
- Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Auto service industry or retail experience
