Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Your role will involve supporting and overseeing repairs of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities, utilizing your commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using your skills and various tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to support store repairs and document activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training for equipment and tools operation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart’s safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and work at heights frequently.

Compensation:

Hourly wage ranges from $23.00 to $45.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of experience in similar fields. EPA Certification for refrigerant handling is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, or a Mechanical license in the job location's city/state.
