Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. If you have experience in this field, we want your skills in our fast-paced environment!

What you'll do

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our retail store, you'll perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You'll work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., move on ladders frequently, work at heights, sit or stand for long periods, and work in various temperatures
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to pass MVR
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or related

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills
• Use work order management system for reactive repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete safety training for equipment and tools

Compensation

The hourly wage range is $23.00-$42.00, based on factors like experience and location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule or work performed.
