Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services (USA) to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial/industrial settings in Bluffton, IN. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety and EPA/OSHA protocols.

You will lead field teams, document work, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable service across locations. A valid driver's license and 2+ years in HVAC/R are preferred, with a focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Option 1: Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Option 2: Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Option 2: Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

• Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Capability to lead field teams and mentor less-experienced technicians on technical and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and service outcomes to customers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.

• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
