Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, in Warner Robins, GA to lead installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC/R systems across facilities.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage refrigerant handling, and coordinate field teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Option 1: 3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Hold and maintain EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I and II or Universal).
• HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

What you'll bring

• Extensive experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and control panels.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant‑related issues in commercial and industrial settings.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and performance feedback.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
• Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and coordinating service calls to meet business priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to support process improvements and workforce development.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and maintain required documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: 3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years' Walmart store experience.
• Valid state‑issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate's of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Prior work experience with Glycol and C02 systems.
