Job summary

Walmart seeks a skilled Food Equipment Maintenance Technician to service and repair commercial food equipment in La Grange, KY. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose failures, and coordinate with Store Associates to minimize downtime.

Applicants should have hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance, plus strong documentation and safety practices. CDL preferred. This role is on-site in Walmart stores in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI within the last five years and no serious traffic violations in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial food equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.

Minimum Qualifications…

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications…

Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams., Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
