Walmart seeks a strategic management leader to oversee operations and community engagement in South Carolina. This role involves directing a team, ensuring compliance, driving financial performance, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and relevant management experience, with a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $170,000 annually.
Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility facing challenges such as high turnover, engagement issues, inexperienced staff, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset across organizational levels.
Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, leveraging resources, reviewing policies, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution at managerial levels. Ensures compliance with policies, navigates complex regulatory environments, maintains relationships with authorities, and oversees safety, asset protection, quality assurance, and operational reviews. Develops community outreach programs, manages media relations, and represents the company externally to build community ties and promote company initiatives.
Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, executing process improvements, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Oversees budgeting, monitors performance indicators, and implements corrective actions. Ensures customer service excellence, effective merchandising, accurate pricing, and inventory management. Manages the Academy training environment, fostering a high-performance culture and engaging trainees.
Develops and implements strategies for talent attraction, retention, development, and succession planning. Cultivates an environment of integrity and ethics, integrating these values into all practices. Builds relationships with community stakeholders, supports associate engagement in outreach initiatives, and promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging.
Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart’s values. Makes data-driven decisions considering all stakeholders, fosters continuous improvement, and encourages innovation and resilience.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$170,000.00 plus differential, with additional bonuses and possible location-based pay adjustments.
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates, or 4 years of management experience with similar supervisory responsibilities. For firearm-selling facilities, completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. All associates must complete required training and assessments, including Academy and Open Door programs.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, experience as a Store Manager in a low, medium, or high-complexity store, or managing a fresh or dry grocery area.
