Position Summary...

Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company market and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility facing issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, inexperienced staff, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution. Ensures compliance with policies and develops relationships with regulatory officials. Oversees asset protection, safety standards, quality assurance, safety reviews, and strategic initiatives. Leads community outreach programs to enhance the company's visibility and engagement, establishing relationships with community stakeholders and media.

Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, managing expenses, interfacing with market teams, and analyzing economic trends. Ensures customer service excellence, maintains store standards, and manages the Academy training environment to support associate development and engagement. Develops strategies to attract and retain talent, fostering a respectful and ethical workplace aligned with company values.

Builds external partnerships, supports community initiatives, and promotes a culture of belonging, diversity, and inclusion. Acts with integrity, maintains high ethical standards, and supports Walmart's sustainability and community goals. Prioritizes customer satisfaction, uses data-driven decision-making, and encourages continuous improvement and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates, with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination experience; OR 4 years of management experience with similar supervisory responsibilities. Must pass background checks for firearm or ammunition sales if applicable. Completion of required training and assessments is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, with experience as a Store Manager in a low, medium, or high-complexity store, especially in grocery segments.
