Job description

Position Summary...

Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility facing issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution. Ensures compliance with policies and proactively manages complex, time-sensitive issues, maintaining relationships with government officials, overseeing asset protection, safety, quality standards, and operational reviews. Develops community outreach programs and manages external relations, representing the company externally and internally.

Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Implements process improvements and productivity tools, oversees budgeting, and manages economic forecasting. Ensures customer service excellence and effective merchandise presentation, including pricing and inventory management. Supports training environments, promotes a high-performance culture, and engages trainees and associates in leadership and store activities.

Develops strategies for attracting and maintaining a skilled workforce, emphasizing mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning. Promotes a respectful, ethical, and compliant workplace aligned with company values. Builds partnerships and networks to meet business goals and supports community initiatives, fostering a culture of belonging and inclusion.

Acts with integrity by upholding high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart’s culture, and promoting accountability. Focuses on customer service, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and technological adoption. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of management experience, including financial accountability, or equivalent management experience supervising at least 50 associates, along with specific background checks for facilities selling firearms or ammunition.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, experience as a Store Manager in various store complexities, and specific retail experience.
