A leading company in retail is looking for a Store Manager who will effectively lead teams, enhance customer service, and drive financial performance. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a sense of belonging in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and building accountability. Identifies and communicates goals, measures progress, and addresses improvement opportunities. Demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans, supports the Open Door Policy, and guides teams in applying these principles in their work.
Fosters a respectful and inclusive workplace by embracing differences, creating opportunities for all associates, and building a culture of belonging. Builds strong relationships, communicates effectively, and motivates teams.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program offering programs from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and certificates. Benefits vary based on eligibility and employment status.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00–$80,000.00 plus differential, with additional compensation opportunities such as bonuses and location-based pay adjustments.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
