A leading company in retail is seeking a Store Manager in Elkins to drive exceptional customer service and financial performance. Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit/loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and building accountability for results. Identifies improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Communicates effectively with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00 plus differential, with potential bonuses and additional compensation based on location and external factors.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be necessary. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
