Walmart Inc. in Robinson, TX, seeks a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician for first shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Walmart equipment, including trailers, tractors, and service vehicles, following company guidelines and safety rules.

The role requires basic to intermediate maintenance skills, ability to read work orders, and coordination with teams. Pay ranges from $28.80 to $32.30 per hour for full-time hours with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined by FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualified as defined by FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• DOT Transportation Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment following guidelines.
• Create and process work orders, assess maintenance needs, and identify parts and solutions.
• Repair and replace brake system components, tires, and related parts in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates; document work performed.

What you'll do

Performs basic to intermediate inspections preventative maintenance repairs and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment for example trailers tractors yard trucks shop equipment service vehicles by creating and processing work orders assessing maintenance repair and replacement needs identifying needed parts and possible solutions selecting the best possible solution conducting maintenance repairs and replacements for example repairing and replacing brake system components such as air anti‑skid ABS disc brakes replacing leaky wheel seals dismounting, installing tractor trailer tires following company and Department of Transportation DOT guidelines and requirements communicating with individuals or groups for example customers suppliers associates verbally and in writing and completing work orders records logs and other written or computer‑based documents according to established procedures Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance following procedures for fuel additives monitoring tank levels before and after the drop collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping and completing appropriate paperwork Respect the Individual: Embraces differences in people cultures ideas and experiences creates a workplace where associates feel seen supported and connected through a culture of belonging creates opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform helps to attract the best talent Respect the Individual: Works as a team builds strong and trusting relationships communicates with impact energy and positivity to motivate and influence Respect the Individual: Strengthens the team by helping developing and mentoring others recognizes others contributions and accomplishments Act with Integrity: Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity ethics and compliance models the Walmart values to support and foster our culture holds oneself and others accountable supports Walmarts goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact for associates customers members and the world around us.
