Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Tech

As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment, utilizing your commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties:

• Maintain and repair Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair requests, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training for operating equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart's safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Compensation:

Packages are based on factors like experience, skill set, and qualifications. Eligible for bonus incentives.

The hourly wage range is $26.00-$51.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual wage will meet or exceed the minimum applicable to the location.

Minimum Qualifications...

Options include:

• 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration
• 8 years’ experience plus AAS in A/C and Refrigeration

Certifications include Universal EPA Certification.

Preferred Qualifications...

Optional qualifications include:

• Completion of a 2-year HVAC/R technical/vocational program or AAS in A/C and refrigeration
• Excellent driving record
• Experience with Glycol and C02 systems
