Position Summary

What you'll do

As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Tech at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration and HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing skills and tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart's safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move ladders as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation packages are based on experience, skill set, and qualifications, including potential bonuses. The hourly wage range is $26.00-$51.00, with additional premiums depending on specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration. EPA Universal Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year HVAC/R technical/vocational program or AAS in A/C and refrigeration, excellent driving record, and experience with Glycol and C02 systems.
