Job description

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing excellent customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, while encouraging others to adopt these tools.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring quality standards for high-volume meat products. Help eliminate waste, secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service and products, and assisting in training team members. Address roadblocks and promote high standards.
  • Compliance and Collaboration: Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and collaborating with managers, coworkers, and other partners. Seek continuous improvement and adapt to change.
Core Values

Embrace diversity, build trust, act with integrity, serve customers, and strive for excellence. Promote a culture of belonging, motivate others, and uphold high standards of ethics and compliance.
