Qualifications

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, be flexible to business needs, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
  • Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations; process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) and ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management; operate, maintain and sanitize equipment.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive business results, ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a work area according to company policies and procedures, ensuring quality and standards for high‑volume meat products, eliminating waste, securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored.
  • Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the members’ experience in the meat area, modeling high quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest possible level of quality, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them to perform job‑related duties.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines and expectations; carry out tasks, communicate progress and recommendations, and adapt to change and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
