Walmart Creative Studio (WCS) is the in-house creative agency for Walmart. Our team develops innovative omnichannel brand design systems that meet customer needs and drive business objectives. We focus on making Walmart relevant in culture through creativity and design.

Overview:

We seek an experienced Associate Creative Director to lead design efforts across Walmart. This role involves shaping and executing our brand’s visual identity globally, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate has a strong background in brand development and design, with experience in both in-house and agency settings, combining leadership and hands-on creative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the creative vision for enterprise brand design, aligning with overall strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing, and other stakeholders to implement design systems.
  • Improve workflows for better, faster results.
  • Manage teams and projects, ensuring timely, polished workstreams.
  • Partner with CAMO and Production to manage timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure brand cohesion across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Oversee high-profile projects from inception to delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant ones into strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Brand Strategy, or related field.
  • 7+ years in brand design with a proven track record.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating successful brand identities.
  • Experience developing design systems for large enterprises.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides, Figma; experience with Cinema 4D, After Effects is a plus.
  • Leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, either in-house or agency.

Reporting: Reports to the Director, Enterprise Brand Design.
