Position Summary:

Walmart Creative Studio (WCS) is the in-house creative agency for Walmart. We develop innovative design systems and creative campaigns that support business goals and reinforce Walmart's position as a top brand in culture. Our focus is on human truths, insight-driven strategies, and integrated creative solutions that build the brand and grow the business across all channels and campaigns.

Role Overview:

As an Associate Creative Director/Copy, you'll partner with an Art Director to conceptualize Tier 1 style campaigns across fashion, beauty, and home categories. Reporting to a Creative Director, you'll work with a Senior Art Director to create comprehensive advertising initiatives, ensuring they are on-brand, innovative, and appealing to fashion-forward customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic ideas that enhance brand awareness and perception based on creative briefs.
  • Contribute to full-funnel advertising campaigns across multiple channels including broadcast, OOH, OLV, and digital media.
  • Manage script writing, manifestos, seasonal and brand lines, and copy matrices.
  • Present concepts to stakeholders and work with the team to prepare pre-production materials.
  • Oversee on-set activities, direct post-production, and ensure final delivery of assets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences to inform creative decisions.

Brand & Team Development:

  • Ensure consistency in verbal and visual branding aligned with enterprise initiatives and seasonal identities.
  • Foster a positive team environment, contribute to team growth, and pursue excellence in creative output.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an ACD, senior writer, or similar role in the fashion retail industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating varied 360-degree creative projects.
  • Excellent collaboration, time management, and understanding of fashion trends.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Figma, Microsoft Office 365, Slack.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a creative role, with a mix of agency and in-house experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or Marketing.

Additional Details:

Reports to the Creative Director, Campaigns (Style). Compensation ranges from $108,000 to $216,000 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits including health, 401(k), stock options, and paid time off. The role is based in Los Angeles, CA, at 5404 Jandy Plc.
