Position Summary...
Walmart Healthcare Research Institute (WHRI) helps communities Live Better and Save Money by increasing access to healthcare through research. Join us to lead business development and strategic partnerships and revolutionize clinical research growth in a Fortune 1 environment.
What you'll do...
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Analyze business objectives and customer needs to create and execute impactful business strategies and plans.
  • Drive Growth: Build and maintain high-level business relationships, manage mutual value propositions, and support stakeholder engagement to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead Sales and Procurement: Direct sales strategy, manage key accounts, negotiate and ensure partners meet agreed contractual terms.
  • Manage Financials: Review and analyze financial reports, approve project budgets, and optimize financial performance to maximize growth and return on sales.
  • Develop Talent: Attract, recruit, and retain a highly skilled workforce, support mentorship and workforce development, and drive succession planning.

Our team operates at the intersection of healthcare and retail, focusing on developing groundbreaking research operations. By integrating clinical research into Walmart’s ecosystem, we aim to enhance healthcare outcomes and support Walmart Health & Wellness strategic direction.

What you'll bring:

  • Pharma and Research Experience: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or research, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Strategic Vision: Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive business and growth strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level internal and external business relationships within Pharmaceutical Sponsors and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Financial Expertise: Expertise in managing budgets, analyzing financial reports, and making informed financial decisions.
  • Implementation of Business Development: Recognized success in evaluating, enhancing, and implementing successful growth initiatives.
  • Leadership in Talent Development: Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, with a focus on mentorship and workforce development.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
