Qualifications

The Principal Software Engineer leads the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving cloud-native architecture and distributed system solutions. This role oversees the full software development lifecycle, integrating AI/ML technologies to build intelligent applications that serve millions. Providing strategic technical leadership and mentorship, the position ensures alignment with long-term roadmaps and promotes engineering excellence. Collaborating across teams, the engineer translates complex business needs into actionable technical requirements, fostering innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

At Walmart Connect, the AdTech Engineering team develops advanced platforms and AI-driven solutions that integrate advertising, commerce, and data. The team addresses complex challenges such as automated media generation and next-generation AI systems to enhance operations for advertisers, sellers, and internal partners. Leveraging extensive first-party data and an AI-first approach, the team pioneers intelligent agents and autonomous workflows that shape retail advertising’s future.
