Provides comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and managing other pharmacy programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
Drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper sign‑in, inventory management, budgeting and forecasting, as well as developing and maintaining cross‑functional relationships and assessing economic trends and demographics.
Models and enforces proper customer service approaches, resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines and standards.
Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as good community members.
Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures and regulations by analyzing reports, monitoring loss prevention and safety controls, and overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, including training, mentoring, duty assignment, performance feedback, recognition and promotion of a belonging mindset.
Ensures confidentiality of information and records as required by company policies and local State and Federal guidelines.
Manages pharmacy operations, conducts associate meetings to address their needs and share new initiatives, and ensures operations align with regulations such as HIPAA, SOP, QA, and QA policies.
Adheres to policies and procedures for verifying and dispensing products, handling customer insurance and licensure issues, documenting changes in pharmaceutical products, and sharing updates with associates and managers.
Oversees inventory flow, monitors inventory requirements, and addresses flow issues.
Manages finances, demonstrates sound financial management skills, interprets and explains financial data, manages budgets, and aligns financial performance with business strategy.
Ensures assets, liabilities, revenues, and operating expenses are accounted for and reported, complies with company financial policies, and monitors financial trends to identify opportunities.
Creates a culture of patient safety and accuracy, communicates expectations, holds others accountable for SOP compliance, ensures counseling and documentation, identifies improvement areas, and promotes error reporting and root‑cause action plans.
Creates and fosters an environment centered on health care compliance, trains associates, implements compliance initiatives, monitors execution, ensures billing procedures and HIPAA compliance, and utilises auditing processes to identify and address compliance issues.
