Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Operator to join a leading manufacturing team in New York. You will support high-speed automated toothpaste packaging lines, monitor quality, and document production activities using SAP.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 2/2/3 rotation, basic computer skills, and the strength to lift up to 55 lbs. Prior packaging or production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 rotation schedule, including alternating weekends.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred; experience with packaging machinery and forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated toothpaste packaging lines at speeds up to 450 tubes per minute.
• Handle packaging materials and finished goods (cartons, labels, pallets, caps, wrapping materials).
• Perform quality checks, document production activities, and use SAP for material transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with preventive maintenance activities.
• Follow procedures and safety requirements, seeking opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the Manufacturing and Production team, supporting high-speed automated packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent teamwork skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Packaging Operator

Pay Range:$24.50 per hour

Shift:Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12.5-hour shifts | 2/2/3 rotation

What’s the Job?

• Operate state-of-the-art automated toothpaste packaging lines running at speeds of up to 450 tubes per minute.
• Handle packaging materials and finished goods, including cartons, labels, pallets, caps, wrapping materials, and other production supplies.
• Perform routine quality checks, document production activities, and complete material transactions using computerized systems such as SAP.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while performing autonomous maintenance and assisting maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance activities.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and safety requirements while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and maintain production efficiency.

• Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, file access, Microsoft Word and Excel.
