Position Summary...
What you'll do...

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, for example, store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure they are aligned with sales. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and communicating expectations consistently and effectively. Ensures a sense of belonging and awareness, recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives. Builds accountability for and measures progress in achieving results, identifies and addresses improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing, and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00 plus differential as required by law. Additional compensation includes performance bonuses, regional pay zones, and complex structure adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition, I acknowledge that the position may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
