Job description

Position Summary

This role involves leading and developing teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Responsibilities include communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. You will introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives effectively.

The role models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs and complaints are resolved. You will develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and lead process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities also include driving financial performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrinkage and meet sales and profit goals.

Supervision and development of hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties are essential. Ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting company mission and values, and fostering a culture of belonging and inclusivity are also crucial.

The role requires acting with integrity, serving customers and members, striving for excellence, and supporting Walmart's initiatives like Live Better U and community outreach programs. Compensation includes a salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 plus bonuses and benefits, with details provided in the original description.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Additional requirements include successful completion of all job-related trainings and assessments, and for facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
