Position Summary
As a Meat Department Lead, you will drive sales and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will demonstrate expertise in Meat and collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Leader: Supervise the meat department team to meet business goals, communicate department objectives, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company. Collaborate with other leaders to meet overall club expectations.
- Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of business operations, product updates, and specifications. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. Share knowledge and train the team to understand product details and use equipment properly. Engage with members to share passion for products and assist in protein selection.
- Be a Techie: Utilize digital tools to plan sales, enhance the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement. Use handheld technology for business decisions and adopt new digital tools.
- Be an Owner: Drive business results through operational excellence. Maintain a clean, safe work environment, manage inventory and ordering, ensure proper staffing, and keep equipment in working order. Display merchandise according to plan.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Train and develop team members, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally and externally.
- Develop and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Promote and support compliance with company policies and ethical standards, guiding the team accordingly.
- Lead and participate in teams, utilizing resources effectively, prioritizing customer needs, and adapting to change.

The hourly wage range is $24.00 to $32.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in a meat production or supervisory role
- Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in meat processing, including boneless and bone-in products, and supervising associates. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) is preferred.
