Job description

Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating 12HR
Day Shift 6:00AM-6:30PM

Primary Duties

The role is responsible for executing all processes in production while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and other applicable regulations. The incumbent is expected to participate in departmental projects and quality teams, initiate simple procedure documents, and make minor revisions. They may troubleshoot basic procedures, demonstrate procedures during training, and coordinate department activities involving coworkers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare media and buffer solutions.
  • Operate Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place systems.
  • Assemble and operate filtration systems.
  • Operate general production equipment (e.g., pH and conductivity meters, autoclave, portable mixers).
  • Monitor and record critical process parameters.
  • Complete paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Sample using aseptic techniques.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams.
  • Distribute supplies as needed.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Review and revise documentation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and responding to alarms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED plus 1+ years of related experience, or an associate degree or higher with no prior experience required.

Key Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in mathematical disciplines and measurement standards.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions; good communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and basic laboratory/pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Understanding of chemical and biological safety procedures.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
Other Job Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carry 25 lbs., and push/pull up to 100 lbs. with equipment.
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts, climb ladders, and perform bending or reaching tasks.
  • Work in controlled environments with gowning, PPE, and in cold/wet conditions.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Potential work in confined spaces or storage conditions.
  • Immunizations may be required.
