OverviewWe’re seeking a self-starting, experienced Senior Copywriter to conceptualize and craft stories that connect across every channel and stage of the funnel. From paid media and broadcast to digital, social, email, site, print, and in-store, you’ll bring a compelling voice to everything you touch.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in advertising, brand storytelling, and creative writing, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of writing for different formats and audiences. You know how to turn insights into big ideas and bring them to life with language that’s emotional, effective, and on-brand.
This role collaborates closely with creative leads and cross-functional teams, focusing on full-funnel campaigns but flexible to tell a cohesive, human story across the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities- Creative Development: Create thumb-stopping copy rooted in emotional truth—sharp, colorful, and unmistakably Walmart.
- Concept, write, and refine 360 campaign assets across all touchpoints—from high-level brand messaging to performance creative.
- Think big while maintaining attention to detail—whether writing headlines, social posts, or audio spots.
- Collaborate with designers, editors, and strategists to bring ideas to life and evolve them across platforms and formats.
- Execution & Iteration: Lead copy from draft to final, understanding platform nuances, respecting character limits, and knowing when to break rules.
- Respond to video and audio edits with thoughtful feedback.
- Brand & Voice Stewardship: Bring out the brand’s personality appropriately for each format, deepening customer connections.
- Project Ownership: Manage creative projects from kickoff to launch, ensuring ideas stay strong and timelines are met. Provide steady guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, advertising, or related field.
- 5+ years of copywriting experience in an agency or in-house team, ideally in a senior role.
- Proven success in developing and executing 360 campaigns.
- Experience writing across the funnel—from brand storytelling to performance copy.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, strategic storytelling, and multi-format execution.
- Excellent grasp of voice, tone, and brand messaging, adaptable across channels.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working with design, strategy, and marketing teams.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides, and Figma.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, refine work based on feedback and insights.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and paid time off. Additional benefits include education programs, disability coverage, and company discounts.
The annual salary range is $96,000 - $186,000, with potential bonuses and stock options.
**Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in related field + 1 year of relevant experience or 3 years of relevant experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with Content Management Systems, managing digital projects, working with creative agencies, and proficiency in design software.
