Job summary

MEC in Compton, CA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead our logistics operations. You will establish procedures, manage staff, and drive KPI performance in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Candidates should have an associate degree in logistics or related field, 4–5 years of warehouse management experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establish work procedures and standards to compete at the highest level of the logistics service providers in the U.S.
• Develop operational plans including objectives, targets, labor hours, KPIs, action plans, and budgets.
• Meet financial objectives for the facility.
• Thorough experience on WMS; utilizing full functionality including RF.
• Knowledge of WMS to drive efficiency.
• TMS experience to manage inbound/outbound loads, transloads, and KPI management.
• Ensure costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
• Coordinate activities with other functions and suppliers for optimum productivity.
• Review productivity and operating reports.
• Direct resolution of operational and customer service problems to minimize costs and delays.
• Manage staff: performance, recruiting, onboarding, training & development, employee relations.
• Train employees on policies, procedures, and government/customer regulations.
• Define responsibilities of staff to meet business objectives.
• Maintain a clean, tour-ready facility at all times.
• Work with customers to develop business opportunities and relationships.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance of the logistics/distribution business.
• Establish rules for MEC, U.S. logistics activities.
• Negotiate rates/contracts with service providers for drayage, airport recoveries, distribution, forklift leases, temp agencies.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. warehousing and distribution regulations (CTPAT, OSHA).
• Ensure safety standards in MEC facilities.
• Submit timely management reports.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Management of staff, including performance, recruiting, onboarding, training & development, and employee-relations.
• Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility that is "tour ready" at all times.
• Work closely with customers to develop the business opportunities and relationships.
• Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the logistics and distribution business.

• Ensure safety standards in MEC's logistics facilities.
• Submit timely management reports.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
