Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly Associates in the Facility by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing company policies and procedures, and providing resolutions for Associates, including proactively seeking out Associate comments and concerns by meeting with Associates in their work areas.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by holding hourly Associates and managers accountable, analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.

Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs, encouraging and supporting Associates and managers in serving as good members of the community, including establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups, presenting the company’s perspective to external organizations, and championing company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to Associates, customers, and the local community to emphasize the facility as part of the community.

Drives the financial performance of the facility by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, leading the management team in controlling expenses, developing and implementing plans to improve financial performance, overseeing budgets, and analyzing economic trends and community needs for forecasting.

Models and enforces customer service standards, directing the management team in proper customer service approaches to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines and standards.

Directs facility operations and communicates with management and hourly associates about operations, merchandising, and company direction.

Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, inventory management, budgeting, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

Respects individuals by building high-performing, inclusive teams, creating a workplace where associates feel supported and connected, and providing opportunities for all to thrive. Works collaboratively, builds trusting relationships, and communicates positively to motivate and influence others.

Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, modeling company values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting Walmart’s goal of positive social impact through initiatives like waste reduction and community engagement.

The annual salary range is $65,000 to $100,000, with additional bonuses and potential location-based pay adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years of general management experience including financial accountability.

2 years of supervising 20 or more associates, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required.

Effective January 26, 2019, associates must complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.

Experience managing a large team, including performance management and employment decisions, especially in grocery operations.
