Job summary

Sam's Club in Lithia Springs, GA is hiring an on-site maintenance technician responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of industrial equipment. The role involves working with lift trucks, battery systems, and material handling gear, with hands-on duties and collaboration with team members.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of related repair experience or 2 years of vocational training.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 1 year's experience in repairing/maintaining mechanical OR electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting OR 2 years' related vocational training

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, and other industrial systems according to procedures.
• Operate material handling equipment and other powered machinery as required.
• Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including removal and replacement of battery retention plates.
• Maintain, inspect, clean, and repair industrial equipment batteries per procedures.
• Assist other maintenance technicians in repair and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment when repair is visible or obvious.
