Job description

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, for example, store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  2. Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
  3. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Set clear expectations, recognize associates, and communicate effectively to ensure diversity and inclusion.
  4. Coordinate and oversee activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability.
  5. Ensure compliance with policies and support company values and ethics, implementing related action plans and promoting the Open Door Policy.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional bonuses and compensation based on location and performance.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Additional training and assessments may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
