Position Summary...

This role involves leading and developing teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. It includes communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates on store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. The position also entails introducing and leading change efforts, providing clear expectations, and implementing business solutions to communicate business objectives effectively.

The role models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. It involves ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, developing action plans to address deficiencies, and leading process improvements to enhance the customer experience.

Financially, the role drives store performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. It also involves developing action plans to reduce shrinkage and meet sales and profit goals.

Supervision and development of hourly associates is key, including hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. The role requires setting clear expectations, providing recognition, promoting a sense of belonging, and recruiting qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating activities with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning and improvement. Ensuring compliance with policies and supporting company values and ethics are also critical, along with fostering a workplace of belonging and respect for individuals.

The role emphasizes acting with integrity, serving customers and members by delivering results and making data-driven decisions, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement, learning, and technological adoption.
