Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback to improve performance. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions. Communicates business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs and complaints are addressed. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance of the store area by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing staff. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports company values and ethics. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart's mission and values. Focuses on serving customers by delivering results, making data-driven decisions, and continuously seeking improvements. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46, plus additional compensation such as bonuses and potential regional pay based on location.
Two years of college; or one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience; or two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
