Job description

Position Summary...

This role involves leading and developing teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Responsibilities include communicating store operations, utilizing technology, leading business initiatives, merchandising, and guiding change efforts. The position requires modeling exceptional customer service, managing customer initiatives, and developing action plans to improve processes and customer experiences. The role also includes driving financial performance, managing budgets, and overseeing operational processes to meet sales and profit goals.

The position offers supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing staff. It involves building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet business needs, and promoting a culture of belonging and continuous learning. Ensuring compliance with policies, supporting Walmart’s values, and fostering an inclusive environment are key aspects.

Additional responsibilities include acting with integrity, serving customers, striving for excellence, and supporting community and sustainability initiatives. The role offers competitive pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, including health, financial, and paid time off benefits. The hourly wage range is $31.25-$38.46, with additional compensation for performance and location-based pay zones.

Minimum Qualifications...

Candidates must have:

  • 2 years of college; OR
  • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
  • 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.

Additional requirements include successful completion of required training, and for certain facilities, background checks or certifications related to firearms or ammunition sales.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; OR
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; OR
  • Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
