$31.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Position Summary

What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicating business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Managing and supporting customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies and providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Driving the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitoring and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Coordinating and overseeing job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability. Ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a supportive workplace, attracting and retaining talent, and acting with integrity. Delivering results while prioritizing customer needs, making data-driven decisions, and encouraging continuous improvement and learning. Offering competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, and education benefits. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable, with additional compensation through performance bonuses and possibly regional pay zones.

Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of college, or 1 year retail experience plus 1 year supervisory experience, or 2 years general work experience plus 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of background checks and training may be required. Attendance at and successful completion of required trainings is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or related certifications, experience supervising multiple direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
