What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and building accountability. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart’s culture and values. Serves customers and members by delivering results, making data-driven decisions, and balancing priorities. Strives for excellence by encouraging continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, and supporting change initiatives.
Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, health benefits, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, and other benefits including education assistance through Live Better U. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable. Additional compensation may include regional pay zones and performance bonuses.
Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience with supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a background check and firearms training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required training.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, or a Certificate in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports.
